TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Prepare for heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic in Downtown Tampa on Saturday, as a number of large events are set to take place.
Events start as early as 9 a.m., and some will likely continue well into the night, so travel through the area at any point in the day may be delayed.
- Walk to End Alzheimer’s
- Benchmark Arena, 401 Channelside Drive
- Registration begins at 8 a.m., 5K walk begins at 9 a.m.
- The route begins at Benchmark, heads east down Channelside Dr., onto Bayshore Blvd, and turns around at S Newport Ave to start back toward the arena.
- Free parking provided in the Ft. Brooke Parking Garage

- Tampa Girls Market
- Water Works Park, 1701 N Highland Ave
- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Local meetup and market featuring goods from over 50 women-owned businesses in Tampa Bay
- Tampa Pig Jig
- Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, 1001 N Blvd
- First show begins at 1 p.m., headliner Megan Moroney takes the stage at 8 p.m.
- Music festival and amateur BBQ competition raising money for kidney disease
