Buffalo man sentenced for fatal Fourth of July shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was sentenced on Wednesday to a determinate sentence of 25 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision for killing a man on the Fourth of July in 2023, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.

At 5 p.m., 28-year-old Lamarrio Clark shot the victim, 28-year-old Corbin Kinsey, with an illegal handgun on the first block of Warring Avenue near Genesee Street in Buffalo.

Kinsey was taken by ambulance to ECMC, where he was pronounced dead.

In August 2025, Clark pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree manslaughter. He was initially charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
