BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man has pleaded guilty to charges related to a head-on crash that killed his sister and two others in the Town of Freedom in 2023, the Cattaraugus County District Attorney’s Office said Monday.
Evan Klink, who was 21 at the time of the crash, purposefully crossed the center line of Freedom Road on June 17, 2023 and caused a head-on collision with a car his sister, 24-year-old Dahlia Klink, was driving. Two passengers in Dahlia Klink’s car, 17-year-old Havanah Lopez and 6-year-old Molly Kibler, died at the scene. Dahlia Klink died the following day. Evan Klink’s passenger, 19-year-old Cameron Klink, was seriously injured.
Evan Klink pleaded guilty Monday morning to two counts of second-degree manslaughter. He had initially been charged with three counts of murder, vehicular homicide, vehicular manslaughter, vehicular assault, DWAI by drugs, among other charges.
He will be sentenced on Feb. 2, 2026.
