A woman is facing criminal charges after allegedly shoving a 61-year-old woman onto the MBTA Green Line tracks at North Station last week.
Boston woman Nyleamah Kinsey, 50, has been ordered held on $15,000 bail after being charged in Boston Municipal Court on Monday.
She allegedly pushed the 61-year-old woman onto the tracks last Thursday.
MBTA Transit Police identified and arrested Kinsey after viewing video of the 1 p.m. assault, which left the victim with numerous injuries.
Bystanders pulled the woman from the tracks before a train arrived.
“It isn’t difficult to imagine the fear this victim must have felt after such a shocking assault,” Suffolk DA Kevin Hayden said in a statement.
“I thank the good people who helped her and I wish her a speedy recovery from her injuries,” Hayden added.
Kinsey has been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person 60 or over and disorderly conduct.
Kinsey was ordered not to loiter at any MBTA stations if she’s released.
She’s scheduled to return to court on Jan. 5 for a pre-trial hearing.
