BATAVIA, Ill. — Some people collect stamps, others collect spoons and then there’s one woman in Batavia, Illinois who has a thing for heifers.
Since childhood, Elisha Scodro dreamed of raising one of Scotland’s majestic mop-headed mammals. But life filled the years in with raising four kids and working two jobs to pay the bills. However her dream never went out to pasture.

So when her nest emptied out her hairy, 600-pound dream came true.
Maggie and Mabel, with their flowing locks and chill demeanor, now rule the Batavia backyard and the hearts of all who visit.
