LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) — Central Florida travelers now have more options for nonstop flights to two cities.
Avelo Airlines unveiled two new weekly flights from Lakeland International Airport on Friday.
The airline will now fly to Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This begins on December 6.
Avelo also announced service to Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport in Rochester, New York on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This begins on December 3.
“Avelo is happy to add extra fights to two popular destinations from LAL: Grand Rapids and Rochester,” Avelo Airlines Head of Network and Revenue Trevor Yealy said in a statement. “Avelo’s extra flights continue to highlight demand for convenient, affordable and industry-leading reliability in Central Florida. With eight nonstop options, we continue to share Avelo’s low fares and nonstop options with our Customers.”
One-way fares start at $57 for travel between December 12 and December 19. Travelers can visit the Avelo Airlines website for more information.
