As Bears prepare to play on Black Friday, here's what time kickoff is and where to watch

The Chicago Bears will be on a large stage this week as they play on Black Friday for the first time ever.

The long-anticipated matchup will be a competition of division leaders and mark the Bears’ first regular season game on a Friday in nearly 60 years. The Bears have won four in a row and lead the NFC North, while the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles sit atop the NFC East.

Kickoff for the game at Lincoln Field in Philadelphia is planned for 2 p.m. CT. Pregame coverage starts at 12:30 p.m.

Looking forward to the game but unsure where to watch it?

The game will be available for “global streaming,” under a recent agreement reached between the NFL and Amazon Prime. The matchup will be the first NFL event ever streamed globally on Amazon Prime, and no Prime membership will be required to watch, according to Amazon and the NFL.

Locally, the game will also be available on Fox.

After clinching their eighth win in nine games on Sunday, they’ll be heading into Black Friday on an abbreviated timeline.

“It’s a short week. This will be a different challenge here for our players. Just haven’t had one five-day span like this,” head coach Ben Johnson said Monday. “And so it’ll be a race to get our bodies feeling as good as we possibly can, get the game plan downloaded … I know our coaches are working hard right now, putting in some good plays together and, good thoughts together so that we can execute and play fast at a high level against a really good football team here on the road. So, excited about that challenge.”

Following an unexpected 24-21 loss to Dallas on Sunday, the Eagles also had a shortened week.

The Eagles (8-3) have a comfortable lead over Dallas (5-5-1) in the NFC East and are in position to become the first repeat champion in the division in 20 years. But Philadelphia fell short in the race for the No. 1 seed, as they sit behind the Rams (9-2).

Once the Black Friday game wraps up, the Bears will head to Green Bay to face the Packers on Dec. 7.
