OCEAN BEACH, Calif. (FOX5/KUSI) — During the COVID pandemic, graphic artist Aaron Noll had grown weary of working at home and decided he wanted an office.
He found a cute spot on Voltaire Street, but envisioned more than just a couch or office in the middle of his new space. As an artist himself, he felt like the Ocean Beach community needed a place for artists to showcase their work.
Thus, Vervor Shop was born.
What started with around 40 artists has now grown to over 300 artists, many of whom are local to Ocean Beach, showcasing a diverse range of wares, from earrings to candles and artwork.
On Saturday, Sept. 27, the beloved boutique will host a celebration in honor of its fifth anniversary, featuring a meet-and-greet from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. They will have artists as well as food and music.
The Vervor Shop is located at 489 Voltaire St. in Ocean Beach, and part of the proceeds from Saturday’s extravaganza will go towards Ocean Beach Elementary School.
