Around 40 cars have tires slashed, mirrors broken in West Seneca

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Around 40 cars were damaged, including tires slashed and windshield wipers and side mirrors broken in West Seneca early Monday morning, according to West Seneca Police.

The incident happened off of Indian Church Road near Union Road and West Avenue. Police responded to a call in that area of a “suspicious male dressed in all black” around 4:45 a.m. Monday and searched the area but nobody was found.

Residents are asked to check home security footage, particularly between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., and report suspicious activity to police. Police can be contacted at (716) 674-2280 or the anonymous tip line at (716) 675-8423.

This is the second widespread tire slashing incident in Western New York in recent days. Dozens of people had their tires slashed in Buffalo’s University Heights neighborhood late Saturday night and early Sunday morning on Winspear Avenue between Main Street and Bailey Avenue. It is unclear if the two incidents are related.
