TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The annual Riverwalk Trick or Treat returns for another year of spooky fun. However, this year, there will be a slight change.

Due to planned construction near Water Works Park, the family-friendly event will instead take over Cotanchobee Park along the Riverwalk and extend to the Tampa Convention Center.

The festivities return Oct. 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. and will feature trick-or-treat stations from about 50 local organizations and businesses. There will be treat bags, and kids of all ages can compete in costume contests. Plus, there will even be categories for large and small pets, so your furry friends can tag along.

Dance Tampa Bay will again host acclaimed Nickelodeon choreographer Myles Thoroughgood, who will lead the “Thriller” flash mob at Cotanchobee Park at 6:15 p.m. and again at Sail Pavilion at 6:30 p.m.

Attendees will also be able to enjoy a Halloween-themed market, food trucks and DJs. The evening will end with a showing of the movie “Monsters, Inc.” on the lawn at Cotanchobee Park. Don’t miss it!
