ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Anyone driving near Henry Johnson Boulevard and Livingston Avenue in Albany on Saturday may experience traffic delays as water department crews repair a water main break. Serving as a primary gateway to the city, the Albany Water Department said construction will start at 5 a.m. and continue until the project is completed.
Crews will work on a 24-hour schedule to minimize traffic disruptions. Drivers can expect lane restrictions at the intersection of the repair, with flaggers directing alternating single-lane traffic if repairs extend south.
The water department said drivers should anticipate significant delays during the weekend’s high traffic times, so drivers may want to consider taking alternate routes. The following weekend, crews will return for full permanent paving.
