A dog was found abandoned in a taped-up moving box outside of a Pennsylvania SPCA shelter on Tuesday, according to the animal rescue organization.
In a Facebook post that was shared on Dec. 10, the organization explained that the taped-up brown box was found outside of their door when it was less than 30 degrees.
When the SPCA unsealed the box, they found a dog, that they named Tangi, who was stressed but who leaned in whenever she was pet, officials said.
Tangi was brought inside and she underwent medical and behavioral exams, the organization said.
According to staff members, Tangi followed them around, rested her head on them and would cry whenever she was left by herself.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Tangi is being held on a stray hold in case her owner wants to claim her, but if no one does then she’ll be available for adoption.
