OverviewAt C&N, we have a mission to take care of our customers to be the only bank they need. As a Branch Operations Specialist you will support the Community Office Manager to ensure customer financial transactions are completed efficiently and in compliance with procedures and regulations.
Primary responsibilities include administration and performance of day-to-day functions of Retail Operations in assigned branch(es). Such areas include, but are not limited to, oversight of teller functions, reviewing branch reports, processing daily rejected items, ordering, and assisting with processing of currency shipments/deliveries, and maintaining branch cash levels.
This person takes ownership of ensuring satisfactory audit scores. Position may include supervising others in the branch.QualificationsEducation: High school degree or general education degree (GED)Experience: 2-4 years previous related experience in cash handling and/or customer service setting, preferably in abanking environment.orEquivalent combination of education and experience.Skills:Product Knowledge _:_ _Maintains in-depth knowledge of C&N’s products and services solutions to cross-sell and refer new and existing clients to product specialists.
Ability to identify and learn new information._Technical Skills: _Proficient use of all applicable internal software systems as well as C&N technology products offered for consumer and business customers via computer, mobile device, or tablet; including, but not limited to online banking, mobile banking, mobile deposit, online bill pay, text banking, People Pay, etc._Cash Handling: _Able to handle cash and maintain/balance a teller cash drawer, branch vault and ATM._ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties+ Assumes responsibility and accountability for Retail Operations for assigned branch(es) .+ Works with Retail Operations Coordinator to implement policies and procedures for efficient, safe, and secure operations.+ May schedule branch staff to provide coverage to serve customers and manage operational duties while staying within branch staffing budget.+ Engages with teammates and assigned Retail Operations Coordinator to ensure branch receives satisfactory audit scores.+ Ensures daily and monthly reports are completed for the branch and works with the branch team to coordinate outbound customer contact as needed based on the purpose of report.+ Assumes administrative duties for branch including but not limited to branch security representative, implementing quarterly marketing game plans, and office supply orders.+ Reports regularly to Community Office Manager and assigned Retail Operations Coordinator on operational condition of the branch, training needs, operational performance issues, etc.+ May open deposit accounts in a backup capacity, but not expected to manage a book of business.+ Maintains well-developed working knowledge of the C&N’s products, policies, and procedures.+ Takes responsibility to personally keep up to date on any changes and ensure staff is up to date.+ Assumes responsibility and accountability for branch teller functions.+ Executes transactions on deposit accounts, loan accounts, and retirement accounts as needed.+ Provides check cashing services in accordance with C&N’s policies and procedures as needed.+ Executes other transactions for customers as needed, i.e., wire transfers, safe deposit box access and payments, stop payments, cashier’s check issuing, etc.+ Ensures all employees maintain established cash drawer levels, follows balancing procedures and corrects any errors, assisting employees if needed.+ Works with assigned Retail Operations Coordinator to maintain branch cash levels, identify, and communicate change recommendations in branch currency limits/targets as needed.+ Oversees and/or participates in daily balancing of vault.+ Oversees and/or participates in balancing and replenishing cash in ATMs (if applicable)+ Issues new or replacement debit cards via Instant Issue.+ Conducts all work in accordance with Bank policies and procedures and regulatory standards to ensure safety and soundness.
