A a double shooting on Saturday morning outside a well-known Miami strip club killed one person and injured another, deputies said.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, deputies received reports of a shooting at the Booby Trap On The River, located at 3615 NW South River Drive.
Once at the scene, deputies found two men with apparent gunshot wounds, and they were both taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
One of the men then succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, deputies said.
Their identities were not released.
As detectives investigated the incident, they said there was a fight that happened outside the strip club, shots were fired, and both men were hit.
A man who works near the strip club told NBC6 that it is often crowded overnight and packed with cars, people and food vendors.
He said one of his friends, a vendor, told him seven gunshots rang out.
“A guy that came out shooting with another guy, one got hit and the guard that works for the River Place that he got hit, but he was shot completely,” Angel Cancio said.
MDSO has not released a description of a suspect as the investigation continues.
