‘Baywatch' is holding an open casting call. Here's how to register

As the TV show “Baywatch” is getting a reboot against the backdrop of the Venice Beach in Los Angeles, the show creators will hold an open casting call next month, the production company behind the show announced this week.

The show is looking to find actors for a wide range of roles, including beachgoers, bartenders, rescuers and rescuers, according to the production company’s website. Some of the roles could end up becoming series regulars or even major recurring characters, it said.

For the opening casting call set for Feb. 18, 2026, actors must submit their application online while confirming they are at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.

The location of the casting call was not announced, but the production company said it will happen in the Los Angeles area.

Applicants are encouraged to wear beach attire and “come ‘Baywatch’ ready” to the audition.

While non-LA residents are welcome to apply, the show creators noted that they will not be paying auditioning actors for transportation and lodging.

It was announced last year that the Fox reboot of the beach drama has been selected as one of the 17 TV shows to receive California’s expanded film and tax credit.

“Baywatch was born in Los Angeles. I’m so glad we can bring it home again,” said Baywatch Executive Producer Matt Nix, who started working on the show when the California wildfires ravaged LA and nearly destroyed his home. “I was inspired by the heroism of the first responders who fought to save our community, and I wanted to be a part of bringing filming back to California and showing the beauty and possibility of this incredible place.”
