An 18-year-old living with a cognitive disorder has been found after he was reported missing by his family earlier this week.
According to the Black and Missing Foundation, Jahmez Cartwright was found after his family said that they think an older man lured him through a popular online gaming app.
Cartwright’s family had said they knew something was wrong when the school called and said he never made it to class.
“I would like to thank the Philadelphia media, law enforcement agencies, The Black and Missing Foundation, and members of the community, as they rallied around me and my family as we searched for Jahmez. Because of your collective efforts, Jahmez has been located. As our family continues to work with law enforcement surrounding the details of his disappearance, we will share any information as we learn more details,” his family wrote in a statement shared by the foundation.
No word yet on where Cartwright was found.
