Here's how Alex Bregman is already endearing himself to Chicago sports fans

New Chicago Cubs third baseman Alex Bregman is wasting little time in endearing himself to sports fans in the city.

On Monday, Bregman attended a Chicago Blackhawks game at the United Center, drawing a standing ovation when he was seen on the videoboard inside of the arena.

Now, Bregman is in town after being introduced to media at Wrigley Field, and he’ll be attending the Cubs Convention at the Sheraton over the weekend.

The big question though is whether or not Bregman plans to brave the cold and attend the Chicago Bears’ playoff game at Soldier Field on Sunday.

“Yeah, I’m going to go to the game on Sunday and hopefully stay warm,” he said.

Bregman isn’t exactly super used to the cold, having grown up in New Mexico, playing college baseball at LSU, and playing the first years of his MLB career with the Houston Astros.

Still, it could be argued that Bregman is a good luck charm for the Bears. His signing was first reported while the Bears were trailing the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field on Saturday, and the team embarked on an incredible comeback as they won 31-27 to advance to the NFC Divisional Round.
