Former New York Giants player Sam Beal missing since July

Family members of former New York Giants player Sam Beal are asking for help in finding him.

Tuesday marked 7 months since Beals went missing on July 13 in Virginia, his sister Essence Zhane said in a Facebook post, NBC Sports reported.

“We’ve done everything we could on our end to piece things together and at this point we’re in desperate need of support on all ends,” Zhane said in her post. “I’m a Big sister and I need my brother to know that We Love You and miss you and this has been a heavy feeling for months to carry around. If you have any info please reach out to [sic].”

The former cornerback was last seen dropping off his girlfriend at a family member’s house before borrowing her car to drive to work, but he headed to Virginia Beach instead, according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons Systems.

He later told his girlfriend over the phone that he was headed home but by the next day he had still not returned. Beal has not been heard from since July 13, 2025.

The car he was in was later found in Virginia Beach with his shoes, socks and sand on the passenger seat.

Beal is described as a having short black hair, short beard, brown eyes and a muscular/athletic build when he was last seen. He is 6’2″ and 185 lbs.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kentwood Police Department at (616) 698-6580, the Virginia Beach Police Department at (757) 385-4141, or the Detective Bureau (which handles missing persons investigations) at (757) 385-4101.

Beal, who played for Western Michigan University, was selected in the third-round of the 2018 NFL Supplemental Draft.
