Law enforcement officials in Philadelphia are seeking help from the public to identify a man who, police claim, produced a handgun during an argument at a South Philly jewelry store and aimed it at an employee’s head while making threats last month.
Police shared surveillance video from the incident on social media on Sunday.
According to police, the incident happened at about 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, when a man exited a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee in front of a jewelry store along the 400 block of South Street, walked inside and approached the counter.
Once inside, police say, the man became engaged in a dispute with a worker at the shop over a piece of jewelry.
During this dispute, officials said the man produced a handgun and aimed it at the worker’s head while making threats.
After this, the man exited the store and left in the gray Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Police are asking anyone who may have information on this incident or may be able to identify the man in the surveillance video to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s South Detective Division at 215-686-3013/3014.
