Patriots inactives: Two key players return to lineup vs. Dolphins

FOXBORO — Will Campbell and Milton Williams are officially back for the Patriots’ playoff run.

Campbell (knee) and Williams (ankle) were both activated off injured reserve Saturday. Both players are active for Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Dolphins.

The Patriots also released defensive tackle Jeremiah Pharms Jr. on Saturday and elevated center Brenden Jaimes and defensive tackle Leonard Taylor III from the practice squad.

Here’s the Patriots’ full list of inactives:

OLB Harold Landry (knee)
LB Robert Spillane (ankle)
DT Khyiris Tonga (foot)
LG Jared Wilson (concussion protocol)
QB Tommy DeVito (emergency third QB)
LT Marcus Bryant
OL Caedan Wallace

• Landry, Spillane, Tonga and Wilson all were ruled out Friday.

• Fullback Jack Westover (ankle) is active despite being listed as questionable this week. He injured his ankle late in the Patriots’ Week 17 win over the Jets.

• Expect Anfernee Jennings, Elijah Ponder and Bradyn Swinson to take on bigger roles with Landry out.

• Williams helps fill the void with Tonga out. The Patriots also have Taylor, Christian Barmore, Cory Durden and Eric Gregory available at defensive tackle.

• Barmore and wide receiver Stefon Diggs are active after criminal charges against both players came to light this week.

• Ben Brown will continue to fill in for Wilson. The Patriots have Campbell, Brown, center Garrett Bradbury, right guard Mike Onwenu and right tackle Morgan Moses to start and Jaimes, tackle Thayer Munford Jr. and tackle Vederian Lowe to serve as reserves.

• Emergency QBs can only enter the game if both active quarterbacks suffer injuries. They must leave the game if either active QB gets cleared to play.
