When do the Bears play? What to know about the Saturday rivalry repeat

The Chicago Bears will play the Green Bay Packers in another rivalry matchup with big playoff implications, but fans will want to double check the time.

The game, set to take place at Soldier Field, won’t be in the usual Sunday football schedule and will instead be played on Saturday.

Here’s what you need to know.

When is the Bears vs. Packers game?

The Bears and Packers will play in one of two nationally televised games on Saturday, both of which feature divisional opponents squaring off. The other teams playing are the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders.

What time is the Bears game Saturday?

The first Saturday NFL game will kick things off at 4 p.m. Central Time. The Bears and Packers will follow at 7:20 p.m. CT.

Where can I watch it?

Both games Saturday will air on Fox. Fans in the Chicago area can streaming the game on NFL+.

Those looking to listen to the matchup can tune into ESPN Chicago (1000 AM, 100.3 FM HD2) or LATINO MIX 93.5 FM for a Spanish version.

Playoff scenarios

The NFC playoff race remains tight, but the Bears have a chance at clinching their spot if two things happen.

The Bears are currently in the top spot in the NFC North with a 10-4 record, and the Packers are just behind them with a record of 9-4-1.

“We’re going to need [the fans] out in full force,” Coach Ben Johnson said in a statement. “There’s no question they can impact the game. They did last week … That was so encouraging to see. I know our guys fed off it. Multiple guys made comments after the game, and we’re going to need that going forward.”

If the Bears beat the Packers, all they would have to do is win one of their final two games of the season to secure the division crown, their first in seven years.

But if the Bears win and the Detroit Lions lose to the Pittsburgh Steelers, that would also land the Bears their first postseason appearance since the 2020 season.

If the Packers win, they would still need to win their final two games, or have the Bears lose at least once in the final two weeks of the regular season.

The team is asking fans to “show up and show out.”

“It needs to be the loudest game we’ve had all season. We need to rock that stadium. Soldier Field needs to be shaking,” defensive tackle Grady Jarrett said.

According to the team, fans attending Saturday night’s game will receive “4th Phase towels to wave while creating deafening noise when the Bears are on defense and be silent when quarterback Caleb Williams and the offense are on the field.”

Remaining Schedule

After this week’s game, the Bears have two games left in the regular season. They’ll face the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 28 in Santa Clara, California, in a game that will air on NBC Chicago.

Their final game of the regular season will be played against the Lions, with the date yet to be announced.
