The Crusaders Soccer Club is inviting all soccer players to our annual winter camps, a long-standing tradition focused on skill development, fun, and player growth.
These camps are designed to help athletes refine their fundamentals, discover new techniques, and participate in engaging activities, enhancing their overall technical ability. They are open to all boys and girls born between 2007 and 2019.
Our inclusive environment ensures every player, from beginner to advanced, has an opportunity to improve and enjoy the game.
All camps are at Pershing Middle School.
Under the supervision of the director of coaching and technical director, Victor Melendez, our coaching staff of experienced professionals specializes in youth development and technical training. Players will receive high-quality instruction in a supportive, structured setting.
“I want to express my gratitude to everyone in our Crusaders Soccer family for your hard work, effort, and dedication in continuously striving to improve our club every day,” Melendez said.
“Thank you for your contributions and for recognizing that while each of our roles may be different, whether as a competitive coach or manager, or in our recreational program as a volunteer coach or division coordinator, and very sincerely as a parent for all our players, you are all equally important.
“Each person’s functions and responsibilities create an incredible synergy, ensuring our club remains the best program for our children.”
Pre-Christmas camps are open for all soccer players, Dec. 22-24, 8:30 to 11 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m., specifically for goalkeepers. The After-Christmas open camp for all is Dec. 29-31, 8:30 to 11 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m. for goalkeepers.
The cost for each three-day camp is $150.00. For more information and to register, go here.
New seasonal age structure
Starting with the 2026–2027 season, U.S. Soccer will implement a new seasonal year age group structure for all youth soccer programs nationwide. This updated format will align player eligibility with the school year calendar, using birthdates from Aug. 1 through July 31 instead of the current Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 cycle.
This change aligns player ages more closely with school grades, reduce mid-season team disruptions supporting stronger team and social connections, as players will often play alongside classmates.
