SEPTA and Transport Workers Union Local 234 reached a tentative two-year contract agreement Monday that will avoid a major strike impacting bus, trolley and subway services in Philadelphia. Both sides credited Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro with stepping in to keep negotiations going over the weekend.
