Los Angeles Dodgers fans witnessed history in November when the team won the World Series for the second-straight year.
Now, they can own a part of history.
Starting Wednesday, both Shohei Ohtani’s game-tying home-run ball from Game 3 and items worn by Miguel Rojas in Game 7 will be up for sale by SCP Auctions.
Ohtani’s ball was blasted away in the seventh inning, becoming the star’s his second home run of the game and tying it at 5-5. The game went on for another 11 innings until Freddie Freeman won it for LA with a walk-off homer in the 18th inning.
This will be the first time any of Ohtani’s World Series home-run balls will be auctioned off, according to SCP. The auctioneers said they expect it to sell for more than $1 million.
SCP is also selling the jersey, cleats, glove and other items worn by Rojas in Game 7, when his ninth-inning home run kept the Dodgers’ World Series hopes alive. SCP said Rojas has signed and inscribed each item to be sold.
Before his 387-foot slam, Rojas had yet to hit a home run in the playoffs. The Dodgers went on to win the World Series two innings later when Will Smith hit the go-ahead home run.
Rojas has already re-signed with LA for next year, and Ohtani’s contract with the Dodgers runs through 2033. The Dodgers have the opportunity to three-peat in 2026.
SCP sold one of Ohtani’s NLCS Game 4 home-run balls in November, and the ball from the final pitch of the 2024 World Series sold for $414,000 in April.
The items will be up for auction from Dec. 10-18.
