A masked intruder left quite the mark on a liquor store in Virginia last week before passing out on the floor in the bathroom.
An officer with the Hanover County Animal Protection and Shelter was called to a liquor store in Ashland on Nov. 28 after a raccoon reportedly “ransacked” the place, officials said.
Samantha Martin, an officer who works at the local animal control, said the furry burglar had fallen through one of the ceiling tiles “and went on a full-blown rampage, drinking everything.”
The raccoon hit the bottom shelf, where the scotch and whisky were stored, and was found asleep on the floor of the bathroom, police said.

Photos from the scene show broken bottles and puddles of alcohol on the floor in one aisle of the store.
The raccoon was secured and taken to a nearby shelter to sober up before it was released back into the wild.
Officials say that they hope this masked suspect “learned that breaking and entering is not the answer.”
