2 people hospitalized after SW Miami-Dade house fire: Authorities

Two people were hurt in a house fire in southwest Miami-Dade on Monday, according to fire rescue officials.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the fire on 145th Avenue, where they saw “smoke coming from the attic of a single family structure.”

Shortly after, firefighters said they were able to control the blaze as units continued to work to put it out completely.

Fire rescue officials said one adult would be flown to a trauma center. Another adult victim was being taken by ground to a local hospital.

Injuries were reported after a house caught fire on Monday in Southwest Miami-Dade, according to fire rescue.

Video from Chopper6 showed what appeared to be a woman with a bandaged arm being helped onto a stretcher before being loaded into an ambulance.

Smoke could also be seen coming from a blackened window as multiple firefighters worked the scene.

Officials haven’t released the identities of the people who were hospitalized or their exact conditions.
