Student suspended after alleged sexual assault at Temple University

A Temple University student has been suspended as the school works with the Philadelphia Police Department to investigate reports of sexual assault, the school announced on Thursday.

According to officials at Temple, there have been two reported incidents of sexual assault allegedly committed by the same student.

One incident happened in a residence hall during an event while the other occurred off campus, school leaders explained.

Resources for victims of sexual assault are available through the National Sexual Violence Resources Center and the National Sexual Assault Telephone Hotline at 800-656-4673.

The alleged suspect was identified on Wednesday, Nov. 19 and was placed on interim suspension while the school investigates the incidents, officials said.

While they are under suspension, the student is not allowed on Temple’s campus or in any of the buildings or classes.
