Miami Beach charter boat owner faces charges in 2nd alleged teen sex trafficking case

A Miami Beach charter boat business owner arrested in a sex trafficking case involving a 17-year-old girl is facing more charges in connection with a second teen victim, authorities said.

Kutay Satiroglu, 45, was arrested last week on charges of human trafficking, lewd and lascivious battery on a child, and contributing to the delinquency of a child.

Miami-Dade jail records show he’s now facing a new human trafficking charge as well as a charge of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

Satiroglu was initially arrested after a 17-year-old girl said she began a sexual relationship with him earlier this year, an arrest report said.

The teen said he also had her engage in sex with his friends in exchange for money, giving her drugs during the sessions and whenever they would throw parties, the report said.

The teen said he was physically abusive toward her on numerous occasions, often beating her whenever he was in a bad mood, the report said.

She said that two days earlier they’d been involved in a physical altercation, and that there were two other females in the yacht who did sex work on his yacht charters, the report said.

According to an arrest report obtained by NBC6 on Wednesday, the second victim told investigators she was 17 when she met Satiroglu through a mutual friend in April of 2021.

She said she moved in with him at his apartment on Collins Avenue where three other females were living along with his wife and two small children.

They began a sexual relationship, and she was introduced to the “yacht party scene” by Satiroglu, the report said.

She said she was forced to attend the parties and forced to take drugs including Tusi, cocaine and ketamine, and was coerced to have sex with several of Satiroglu’s friends and partygoers, the report said.

“The other females including the victim were considered as a party favor for the night and expected to have sex with these men and considered as part of the entertainment,” the report said. “The victim was often introduced to several men by the defendant where she then had sexual relations with them. On some occasions, the victim attempted several distraction methods to avoid having sex but often she was unsuccessful.”

The teen said she was in fear for her life and scared to say no to Satiroglu, adding that before she moved in with him she’d never done drugs but soon after became dependent on them, the report said.

After the parties he would tell her “good job” but there were no other incentives, even though Satiroglu financially benefitted from hosting the parties, the report said.

The teen said she was able to escape one night after she took cocaine under his direction and became ill.

She said Satiroglu and another male entered the room where she was and Satiroglu told the other man “do you want her. You can have her,” the report said.

The teen said she became scared and was able to run out of the apartment and call her sister, who picked her up.

Satiroglu remains held without bond, jail records showed.
