In surveillance video shared by police, a man can be seen holding a worker at gunpoint as he rummaged through a cash register, taking all he could during a Nov. 8, 2025 robbery.
And, police are now asking the public to help identify the gunman seen in the footage.
Police shared the footage on social media on Wednesday.
According to police, the incident was recorded at a Sunoco gas station, located along the 7200 block of Castor Avenue, in Northeast Philadelphia, at about 4:50 a.m. on Nov. 8, 2025.
At that time, police claim, the man seen in the footage — described as having a medium complexion, standing five-foot, four-inches tall and weighing about 150 lbs., while wearing all black clothing and being armed with a handgun at the time the incident occurred — walked into the gas station.
After the store employee asked the man to leave, police said, the suspected gunman produced the handgun and told the employee that he would shoot him if he didn’t comply with the man’s commands.
The armed gunman then stole and undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes before he fled the store on foot along Castor Ave., officials said.
Police are asking anyone who may be able to help identify this individual to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s Northeast Detective Division at 215-686-3153/3154 or by contacting the department’s Tip Line at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
