The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission released a list of new items being recalled due to reports of injuries and potential hazardous risk. Some of the products include a Peloton fitness bike, plush toys, and even Costco branded wine.
Around 13 products made the latest round of recalls. The commission said many of these companies are now offering repairs, replacements, and refunds.
First up is the Costco Kirkland branded wine. It’s the ‘Signature Valdobbiadene Processo DOCG” bottle.
The commission said nearly 1 million bottles have been sold and warned consumers to throw it out and to not attempt to open the bottles.
There have been at least 10 reports of the glass bottle shattering or breaking resulting in one person being cut.
If you’re active and have a Peloton Bike you may want to double check your model. The company is recalling 800,000 of its Original Series Bike+ model.
Peloton said it’s due to the seat post breaking or detaching during use. There have been three reports, including two injuries of people falling. The model number is PL02. Peloton is encouraging customers to contact them directly for a seat post replacement.
Another product parents of kids under three years old will want to pay attention to is the plush alpaca toys from Inkari. The company said testing has shown that the plastic eyes may detach creating a potential choking hazard for kids.
Other products worth noting, especially for those who get outdoors for yard work for fall, is the Stihl Backpack BR 800 Blower. The commission said 47,000 units have been sold.
The recall involves the fan wheel for the X and C-E models. There are concerns the fan wheel could break off, but so far no injuries have been reported.
