BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has admitted to stabbing three employees at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center in 2024, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Friday.
Calvin Haskins, 35, committed the stabbings inside of a housing unit for outpatient residents of the psychiatric center, located on Forest Avenue in Buffalo.
The victims, identified as a 55-year-old man, a 45-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman, all spent multiple days at ECMC to be treated for their injuries. The two men were stabbed multiple times. None of them have returned to work.
On Friday, Haskins pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree attempted murder and one count of second-degree assault. He faces a maximum of 57 years in prison when he is sentenced on Jan. 15, 2026.
Orders of protection on behalf of the three victims remains in place.
