The 11th Annual Philadelphia Veterans Parade is set for this weekend, honoring heroes and celebrating their service.
The parade is expected to feature more than 100 organizations, over 4,000 participants and over 50 Veteran Service Organizations.
Officials said the parade begins at 21st and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, continues up the Parkway, and ends just past the Philadelphia Art Museum at Eakins Oval, where the Veterans Festival will then take place and continue until 4 p.m.
The family-friendly Veterans Festival will feature food trucks, live music, and a range of resources, including job recruitment, healthcare providers, educational opportunities, financial assistance, and workshops.
Road closures for the Philadelphia Veterans Parade
According to city officials, the following streets will be closed beginning at 6 a.m. on Sunday, until 5 p.m.: Eakins Oval.
The following streets will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. on Sunday for the parade starting area: Benjamin Franklin Parkway between 18th Street and 21st Street.
The following streets will be closed beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday and will reopen when the parade concludes: Benjamin Franklin Parkway between 21st Street and Eakins Oval (Parade will go around the north side of Eakins Oval and end on the south side).
Parking restrictions for the Philadelphia Veterans Parade
The above-listed streets will be posted as “Temporary No Parking” zones on Sunday, according to officials.
Motorists must adhere to “Temporary No Parking” signs. If your vehicle is parked in these locations during posted hours will be relocated.
If you believe your car has been relocated, call the police district of the area where your car was parked, officials said.
Officials have shared that additional road closures and parking restrictions may be necessary in the vicinity of the event venue, depending on the conditions.
SEPTA detours for the Philadelphia Veterans Parade
City officials said SEPTA Bus Routes 2, 7, 32, 38, 43, 48, and 49 will be detoured from their regular routes beginning at 5 a.m. on Sunday through approximately 6 p.m.
SEPTA detours will be posted, and specific route changes are available on the System Status Page at septa.org.

NBC10 First Alert Weather Team says that Sunday is expected to bring another chance for showers. It’ll still be mild with high temperatures in the mid-60s.
