A large fire sent a massive plume of smoke into the sky in Chicago during the Tuesday afternoon rush hour.
The flames were seen around 4:30 p.m. in a three-story apartment building on the 5000 block of Troy, near North Park University in Chicago’s Albany Park neighborhood.
Video footage from NBC Chicago’s Sky 5 helicopter showed large flames shooting out the three-story building, with the flames possibly spreading to another building nearby.
Chicago Fire Department said they had seven lines working putting the fire out around 5 p.m., and the fire was out by 5:40 p.m.

Further details on the fire, including whether or not anyone was inside the building, remained unclear.
North Park University said the blaze was not affecting its students or campus buildings, though it noted the Chicago Fire Department was using its parking lot at Carmen and Kedzie, and streets surrounding the university were closed, including Kedzie Avenue from Foster Avenue to Argyle Street.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to CFD.
