DENVER (KDVR) — A 36-year-old man has been indicted by a Colorado grand jury on seven counts related to organized crime and attempting to pimp women and girls, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors believe there could be more victims out there and are seeking more information.
The prosecutor’s office announced Monday that 36-year-old Andrew Dominguez was indicted on one count of violation of the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act, two counts of attempted pimping, two counts of criminal impersonation, one count of extortion and one count of tampering with a victim or witness.
The district attorney’s office described Dominguez as a “Los Angeles Man” but did not share further details about where he is from.
The district attorney’s office said that Dominguez is accused in the indictment of contacting hundreds of women and girls online to attempt to recruit them for his sex trafficking ring, starting in early 2023.
Domiguez was arrested by special agents with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s Fugitive Apprehension Team and agents with the U.S. Marshals Service in California, with the assistance of Denver District Attorney investigators.
As of Monday, Dominguez was being held in California and his extradition date had not been scheduled.
