Keystone Resort opens for 2025-2026 winter season

DENVER (KDVR) — Keystone Resort in the town of Keystone will officially open for the 2025-2026 winter season from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The resort said more than two miles of “freshly groomed” terrain will be avaialable to ski on its Schoolmarm and Silver Spoon trails on opening day.

“We’re thrilled to kick off the season here at Keystone with over two miles of skiing and riding,” said Keystone Resort Vice President and General Manager Shannon Buhler, in a statement.

Guests can access open terrain via the ski resort’s River Run Gondola, with skiing and riding laps off the Montezuma Express lift.

The resort said its snowmaking team will continue “working around the clock” to make snow whenever weather permits, in order to expand early season terrain “as quickly as possible.”

“We know how much this moment means to our employees and community, and our team has poured their hearts into creating an incredible early opening celebration. We’re just excited to be back on snow!” Buhler said.

The resort noted that uphill access will remain closed during early season operations, and that, once open will only be permitted on designated routes before and after lify operating hours.

Keystone’s first full day of operations will be Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Those interested in purchasing an Epic Pass are reminded that prices will go up after Nov. 16.
