A woman has died days after a fire burned at a high-rise apartment in Hollywood, officials said.
The woman, whose name and age were not disclosed, was hospitalized Tuesday for smoke inhalation. Officials said she died from her injuries on Thursday morning.
The fire broke out Tuesday evening at the building in the 300 block of Surf Road. A police officer and a firefighter were also hospitalized for smoke inhalation, but have since been released.

Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed flames pouring out of a top-floor apartment as firefighters worked to put the fire out.
The resident of the apartment, who only referred to himself as Jose, was safe and unharmed, officials said. He told firefighters he flipped a circuit before leaving his place for a bike ride, but officials said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Jose told NBC6 that he was sitting on a bench when he saw the fire from a distance and rushed to his apartment, but couldn’t go inside because of the smoke. He pulled the fire alarm to alert his neighbors.
“Everything I lost is replaceable,” Jose said. At the time, he did not know of any injuries, and said “we can only move up from here.”
