MALTA, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Brunswick woman was charged for allegedly assaulting a deputy of the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday. Michaela Mariano, 23, faces multiple charges.

- Second-degree bail jumping
- Resisting arrest
- Second-degree obstructing governmental administration
- Second-degree harassment
Mariano is accused of injuring a deputy while allegedly resisting arrest. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said the deputy involved sustained head and neck injuries after their head struck a wooden table.
Deputies said Mariano also allegedly tried to punch a deputy in the face and was found to have a bench warrant for second-degree assault, a charge that stemmed from her arrest in June 2024. Mariano was arraigned in Malta Town Court and placed in the Saratoga County Jail while awaiting further proceedings.
