ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — Mini Highland Cattle Co.’s “Jason Moo Moa” took to the sea, his shaggy fur blowing in the salty breeze for his first boat ride on Wednesday.
“Jason Moo Moa” is a miniature highland cow from Mini Highland Cattle Co. in St. Petersburg.
This social cow visited local hospitals, nursing homes, daycares and more, but he boarded Capt. Ryan Harrington’s boat, creating a new sight for all involved to behold, said Mini Highland Cattle Cos’s owner, Hailey Shaw.
“Jason Moo-Moa” turned the heads of many passersby as he spent time on a sandbar after he jumped off of the boat.
“He loved his hair in the wind and just enjoying the life he has,” Shaw said.
According to his numerous past events, “Jason Moo Moa’s” local stardom began at two weeks old, visiting various locations to bring joy to those in need.
Mini Highland Cattle Co. worked with Tampa General Hospital, BayCare hospitals, AdventHealth hospitals, Moffitt Cancer Center and made appearances at special events since the company opened two years ago, Shaw said.
“When I bring Jason to nursing homes, everyone lights up. He doesn’t mind their walkers or wheelchairs either. He’ll walk right up to them,” Shaw said
Mini Highland Cattle Co. and “Jason Moo Moa” will travel to local pumpkin patches and trick or treat events for the fall season.
