GRANVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — With the holiday season approaching, Amazon’s last-mile delivery station in Granville is looking to fill 100 seasonal positions. The seasonal position openings come as Amazon hires 250,000 seasonal workers nationwide, and 8,500 in New York.
The seasonal openings have flexible hours, an average wage of more than $19 per hour, and are an opportunity to earn extra money during the holiday season, Amazon said. Anyone interested in a seasonal position can apply online through Amazon’s website.
Officials with Amazon also said the company is investing more than $1 billion in enhancing compensation for hourly fulfillment and transportation employees. Some of the enhancements include healthcare plans for $5 per week, benefits like paid parental leave, and up to 35% pay increases for employees with three or more years of service with the company.
