Pad Thai Noodle's grand reopening

COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -Pad Thai Noodle held its grand reopening on Thursday morning. The Singthon family was joined by the Albany County Executive and the President of Professional Fire Restoration.

In the almost two weeks since the restaurant reopened, Sarinya Singthon said that she sells out every day and has even had to close early. “Everyone did come at the same time so that’s why it gets so, so busy and the customers try to get a very big order. So that’s why we are very, very busy on whole week.”

NEWS10’s Anthony Krolikowski and photographer Mia Verras saw it firsthand on opening day; only a couple of customers outside before Pad Thai Noodle opened were quickly met with many others minutes later.

“You think about a restaurant that started in 2016 with your family and to be here to introduce this great food to the community and the loyal customers that you have,” said County Executive Dan McCoy.

After the explosion, the Singthons worked seven days a week at another restaurant to rebuild their dream. “Everyone worked. We put the money into here to the equipment and everything to get the business back as soon as possible,” explained Sarinya.

The original building used to be two restaurants and the new one’s only Pad Thai Noodle, just updated both structurally and by its menu. Hours of operation are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day except for Monday.
