Fleet Week Air Show schedule updated as Canadian Snowbirds take center stage

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — With San Francisco Fleet Week steaming ahead without the participation of the United States military the updated Fleet Week Air Show schedule was announced Thursday. With the U.S. Navy Blue Angels sidelined by the ongoing government shutdown, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds have been bumped up to the headline slot for the show, which runs daily from Friday through Sunday.

While the show will be without its usual marquee attraction, it will still feature familiar Air Show lineup mainstays, including the United Airlines 777 Demo and the Patriots Jet Team, among others.

“Our confirmed lineup is the envy of most Air Show across America,” said Jim Breen, chairman and CEO of the Air Show Network, which produces the show. “We’re excited to welcome back Canada’s Snowbirds squadron for the first time since 2017. Their nine-jet formation remains one of the most thrilling demonstrations in aviation.”

The Fleet Week Air Show will run daily Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Other Fleet Week events like Friday’s Parade of Ships are also still scheduled to go ahead without U.S. Military participation.
