Fans will note an interesting change in Cubs' lineup for Game 2 vs. Brewers

The Chicago Cubs have revealed their Game 2 lineup against the Milwaukee Brewers, and fans will notice one big change.

Cubs manager Craig Counsell has inserted Justin Turner into the lead-off spot for Chicago, as they’re looking to knot up the series at one game apiece.

While the move is noteworthy for the Cubs, as Turner has not yet gotten an at-bat so far in the playoffs, there is a reason why Turner is replacing Michael Busch atop the Cubs’ lineup.

That’s because the Brewers will be starting left-handed reliever Aaron Ashby as an opener in Monday’s game, and the Cubs will look to the right-handed Turner to counter that move by Brewers skipper Pat Murphy.

The rest of the Cubs’ lineup is the same from the first game of the series, with five of the first six batter set to bat right-handed against Ashby if he makes it that far into the game.

Nico Hoerner and Ian Happ, both of whom hit home runs in Game 1 of the series, will bat second and fifth, respectively.

Here is the Cubs’ full lineup:

1 Justin Turner – 1B

2 Nico Hoerner – 2B

3 Kyle Tucker – DH

4 Seiya Suzuki – RF

5 Ian Happ – LF

6 Carson Kelly – C

7 Pete Crow-Armstrong – CF

8 Dansby Swanson – SS

9 – Matt Shaw – 3B

Shota Imanaga will take the ball for the Cubs, with first pitch set for 8:08 p.m. The game will air on TBS, and will stream on HBO Max.
