Key things to know about Broncos at Jets

Not a home away from home

Homefield advantage might not be much of a factor at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It serves as more of a neutral venue for both teams, but the Jets are technically the home team in this situation.

The home team wins about 55 to 60% of games in the NFL, although the Jets are still sitting at 0%, sorry, Jets.

It will be up to the Broncos’ faraway compatriots to bring the home crowd energy for the team in North London.

International football

The Broncos and Jets will play their parts in trying to help spread American football around the world.

Since 2007, the NFL has had a game in London every year, aside from 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Teams have played at Wembley Stadium, Twickenham Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the designated spot now, after a £1.1 billion project was completed that moved Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur from their home at White Hart Lane to the new stadium.

Spurs played at White Hart Lane from 1899 to 2017 — and bid an emotional goodbye to their former grounds.

The NFL has an agreement in place with Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that it will be the home of the NFL through the 2029-30 season, and at least two games must be played there every year.

The stadium has had an average attendance of 60,694 people for the NFL games, according to Pro Football Network.

British connection

The Broncos’ occasional game in London is not the team’s only connection to the U.K.

Sir Lewis Hamilton, one of the greatest Formula 1 racers in history, is a huge fan of the Broncos. His love for the team even saw him become an investor and partial-owner after he joined the Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group in 2022, when it purchased the Broncos for $4.65 billion.

Hamilton must have a thing for horses. After years of dominance with Mercedes, he swapped to Ferrari for the 2025 season — meaning he now drives under the famed stallion logo, while also being the owner of the team known for its bucking bronco.

Affectionately known as “Hammy,” here’s to hoping he has spread the popularity of the Broncos to the fans in the U.K.
