TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The city of Troy has planned milling work for all of next week. There will be traffic detours and road closures from Monday to Friday.
There will be detour signage each day in the affected areas. Drivers should build extra time into their schedules to plan for delays and seek alternate routes when possible.

Monday, October 6 and Tuesday morning, October 7
Congress Street’s eastbound traffic will be closed between 8th Street and Pawling Avenue with the westbound lane remaining open. Trucks will be detoured north at 8th Street onto Hoosick Street and then to Brick Church Road onto Route 2.
Passenger vehicles will go north at 8th Street onto Hoosick Street to South Lake Avenue and onto Brunswick Road. Those looking to get to the east side of Troy can use 5th Avenue to Hill Street and get onto Spring Avenue for an alternate route.
Tuesday afternoon, October 7 and Wednesday, October 8
Westbound traffic will be closed on Brunswick Road between Pawling Avenue and South Lake Avenue with eastbound traffic remaining open. Trucks can use Brick Church Road to get to Hoosick Street and then onto 8th Street before reaching Congress Street. Passenger vehicles can use South Lake Avenue to get to Hoosick Street and then to 8th Street before reaching Congress Street.
Thursday, October 9
Brunswick Avenue between Congress Street and Tibbits Avenue will have lane closures. The city asks motorists to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
Friday, October 10
Congress Street’s eastbound traffic will be closed between 8th Street and Pawling Avenue. Trucks can use 8th Street to get to Hoosick Street before getting onto Brick Church Road and ending up on Route 2.
Passenger vehicles can use 8th Street to get to Hoosick Street before driving to South Lake Avenue and ending up on Brunswick Road. Drivers can also use 5th Avenue to get to Hill Street and then onto Spring Avenue to get to the east side of Troy.
