Python found at Monrovia In-N-Out reunited with family in San Bernardino

A 4-foot ball python who surprised employees when it turned up this week at a Monrovia In-N-Out is back home in an unlikely reunion surrounded with mystery.

Henny showed up Monday in the San Gabriel Valley fast-food restaurant’s drive-thru. An employee brought the constricting snake to Pasadena Humane, which posted an image of the python and its recognizable markings on social media with a request to help find the owner.

In an update posted Thursday, Pasadena Humane said a woman saw a story about the python on a television newscast and recognized the “alien-like” patterns. In August, the snake escaped from her family’s home about 40 miles east of Monrovia in San Bernardino, according to Pasadena Humane.

It’s not clear how the snake ended up in Monrovia.

The family brought photos of Henny to Pasadena Humane that appeared to match the python in the agency’s care.

“During her stay with us, Henny had been a little shy. But the moment she was back in her family’s arms, she relaxed completely, posing for photos and proudly showing off those special markings that helped make her reunification possible,” Pasadena Humane said in an Instagram post. “And Henny’s family couldn’t have been happier (or more surprised) to have her back.”
