AUSTIN (KXAN) — Whether reporting a broken traffic light or complaining about a nagging alarm, Austinites have a lot to say when submitting a service request through 311.

As the city’s “all day, any day, info center,” Austin 311 provides a space to report issues or ask questions about what’s going on in the city. The service is available 24 hours a day, year-round, by calling 311 (or 512-974-2000), using the website or by using a mobile app.

Between January and September, 233,794 service requests were submitted to 311 from across the city — everything from reporting a sick or injured animal to fireworks complaints. Here’s a look at the top 10 most common service requests:

The data in this story is from the city of Austin’s Open Data Portal. An Austin 311 spokesperson told KXAN not every service request is reflected in the data, as some are removed to hide sensitive or personal information of residents who submit requests. The data in this story will be updated each month.
