HIGHLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A third-prize-winning ticket from Wednesday’s Powerball drawing was sold in Highland, according to the New York Lottery. The ticket is worth $50,000.
The winning numbers for the October 1 drawing were 8, 17, 22, 28, 55, and the Powerball was 14. The third-prize ticket was sold at the Sunoco gas station located at 3600 Route 9W.
The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. The winning numbers for the game are drawn from a field of one to 69, with the red Powerball being drawn from a separate field of one to 26.
