VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — The Boys & Girls Club of Vista and the James M. Cox Foundation are co-hosting a ribbon cutting to showcase the refreshed Cox Innovation Lab.
The lab gives members of the Boys & Girls Club the opportunity to explore their interest in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.
The lab features new technology including iPads, gaming computers, a Nintendo Switch, a ceiling projector and projector screen.
The partnership between Cox and the Boys & Girls Club started in the 1970s and grew significantly when they launched innovation labs in 2004. Cox considers 2024 to be a milestone year celebrating two decades of the program.
The ribbon cutting will take place at the Boys & Girls Club of Vista on Monday, Sept. 29, from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
