One of four suspects who was charged with murdering a 3-year-old boy in a 2024 drive-by shooting in Fort Lauderdale appeared before a judge.
Andre Saint Louis, 19, is facing first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder charges, alongside Antonio Carter, 20, and Tommie Allen, 19, for the July 21, 2024, shooting that claimed the life of Rylo Yancy
During Saint Louis’ court appearance, a judge denied him bond.
According to Fort Lauderdale Police, they finished their investigation into the shooting after they announced the three arrests.
Saint Louis was found in Tennessee, police said.
Police said Rylo was at a birthday party last year when he was killed in a drive-by shooting.
As the investigation continued, Tyler Hollins and Thaddeus Squire were the first to be arrested in the case back in March.
Detectives said the shooting was the result of a beef between Hollins and a man who was at the party.
They said several people shot out of two cars.
The child’s family said it’s a wound that can never heal.
“This is something that you’ll never get over; you just have to work your way through it,” said a family member.
Police believe there are no more suspects in the case.
