BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A fire broke out Thursday, causing an estimated total of $250,000 in damage to a Buffalo home and displacing one person, officials announced.
Fire crews responded to the fire at 154 Hertel Ave., a 1 1/2-story residence. The fire reportedly started in a step-down section located at the back of the house.
An estimated $150,000 in damage was done to the home’s structure and $75,000 to its contents. The displaced person is being assisted by the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
